Abstract
The diversity of teachers' abilities in developing HOTS mathematical problems needs an attention, especially in contexts which are close to students' lives, such as faraidh. Now day the reference to HOTS mathematical problems in the context of a faraidh is still very limited. The purpose of this research is to identify the teachers needs’ in with availability of HOTS mathematical problems in the faraidh context. This research used a descriptive quantitative research. The population of this research was all mathematics teachers in islamic schools which is stated in Banda Aceh City and Aceh Besar District. Meanwhile, the research sample is mathematics teachers at MTsS Babun Najah, Aceh Besar District and SMPIT Al-Fityan Banda Aceh City, totaling seven people. The instrument of this research used is a questionnaire on the availability of HOTS mathematical problems in the faraidh context. The results showed that teachers need the availability of HOTS mathematical problems with faraidh context. The implication of this research is that it is necessary to provide a reference for HOTS mathematical problems in a faraidh context to meet the needs of teachers.
