Abstract

The tourism sector in Banyuwangi is growing significantly. The available tourism potential is not only natural, cultural, and educational tourism but also religious tourism. One is Antaboga religious tourism, initially a place of worship for Hindus. However, this tourist site was later developed into a spiritual tour open to the public and even known as a symbol of tolerance. This is because in it built houses of worship of 6 religions. Not only that, but the management also involves interfaith leaders. This article discusses how the development of Antaboga religious tourism is based on interfaith communities. This research collects data through qualitative methods through observation, interviews, FGDs and literature studies. The data obtained was analyzed interactively through three stages: reduction, display, and conclusion. The results showed that interfaith leaders jointly managed the development of Antaboga tourism. Even though Hindu religious figures control the management, they still cooperate with other religious leaders. This aims to accommodate the interests of various religious communities and strengthen the potential of Antaboga as a tourism of tolerance. Collaboration between interfaith leaders is expected to reinforce inter-religious harmony. By managing religious diversity, Antaboga tourism symbolizes tolerance and a medium for strengthening social capital between religious communities.
